The companies within UPETROM GROUP are among the first in Romania that implemented completely the Health Safety & Environment standards.
UPETROM GROUP‘ s Management assures the accomplishment of programs regarding the employees’ control, security and health. The programs are implemented by internationally certified specialists in the labor safety field. All the employees of UPETROM GROUP‘ s companies have access to these programs, irrespective of their positions. The programs envisage the assurance of optimal means for activity at the working place and prevention of any accidents affecting the persons or environment.

The HSE&Q implementation is made by the following steps:
- Employees’ daily training and instructing.
- Routine inspections will be made in each working site according to an inspection program prepared by the team in charge of the respective area.
- Clear identification of each employee’s responsibilities at the commencement of a work.
- The person in charge of the project will have a specific audit program for each work, in order to check the supervisors’ activity.
- The project manager will assure the reporting and investigation of each accident, so that its reoccurrence shall be prevented.
- The project manager will assure the proper evaluation of all the risks of the executed operations, so that they shall be reduced to a minimum level.
- Each working area will have a periodical program of HSE&Q meetings, in which all the employees reporting directly to the project manager will participate.
- Adoption of working methods reducing the possibility of incident occurrence during the handling of the working equipment.
- Each manager will adopt specific procedures for emergency situations.
- Each employee of UPETROM GROUP will be instructed, so that he can contribute fully to the success of the HSE&Q implementation.
